Carolyn Snyder just received news yesterday (4-6-2017) that she is facing cancer yet again... with prayers and encouragement from each of you, we pray, believing that she will see this thru <3
However, she also has many expenses that she would never ask for help with. So... we are asking on her behalf. For her medical expenes, taxes that are due, not to mention her normal day to day expenses.
Please pray about how you can help her. We will be offering this opportunity through gofundme, and will also be doing some other fund raising along the way.
I have asked her to write her story below....
Carolyn's story...
Spring of 2015 diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer
Began taking chemotherapy pills and had 21 radiation treatments over the summer of 2015. In August I had surgery to remove the cancer and had an ileostomy bag placed. There was 1 lymph node affected and I then began 18 weeks of I.V. Chemotherapy. After each treatment I was fitted with a fanny pack that pumped Chemo for 3 days non-stop and then it was removed. I had a week of rest then the following week began it all over. In April of 2016 I had surgery to re-connect the ostomy.
I had follow up blood tests every 3 months and my tumor markers reached normal levels. A CT scan was scheduled to make sure everything was clear in March of this year. They had ordered scans from the waist down but for some reason they scanned the upper chest and found 2 spots on my right lung. A PET scan and an E-BUS revealed the same with lymph nodes in the middle of my chest affected. I will meet with the Medical Oncologist this Thursday (4-13-2017) to plan the next phase of treatments most likely Chemotherapy and Radiation.
