Our amazing, wonderful mother Gaylynn went to the emergency room on January 5, 2016 for symptoms of a headache. Within hours she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was quickly transferred TWO hours away from home to UPENN for blood transfusions and to begin chemotherapy right away. Miraculously she has been with an incredible team of doctors during this time of the beginning of her fight against leukemia. She started her Chemotherapy and is ready to kick cancers ass!

My mother is the strongest women I know and the backbone of our tight knit family.

Unfortunately my brother and I both live in San Diego which is too far away to be there to physically help. During this extremely difficult time, my dad has a two hour commute to be able to visit our Mom daily. We really want to be able to help our family through this battle as much as we can.

The money raised over this fundraiser is for our dad's commuting, medical bills, as well as any additional expenses. Our Mom"s positive attitude and high spirits are so contagious. With her power within, she will beat this as we all know she will! She'll never let anything stop her from living her life to her fullest! Our mom makes it a tradition to come out to San Diego every year for Mother's Day to celebrate with us. We would love to have her here, healthy and all smiles with us. Any help is greatly appreciate to make this happen.
