Mama Wolf fights ALS


My mom as of now has been diagnosed with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. In this disease, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles they supply. We were hopeful that it was aphasia only to be let down with bad news a year later. My mom will slowly be robbed of her ability to eat,speak, swallow , breathe, and eventually walking . She will have so much life inside her yet her body will continue to fail her. There is no cure only medication to help make her comfortable. Tomorrow is not always promised, We are living one day at a time it’s the only way to find comfort right now . We all need to remember my mom as the Harley loving, bedazzle queen, and free spirited person she still is.




My family is completely devastated and honestly we are all still pretty numb. My dad since finding out my mom was sick a year ago had to become a single income, he’s been working crazy overtime hours and currently is stuck working night shift to help make extra money to stay afloat. Time is so valuable even more so now,instead of spending the time he can with his wife he’s trying to keep everything going . With all of the new medical testing needing to be done it was a surprise to find out none of it is covered by insurance. My dad has already paid thousands of dollars out of pocket just to even find out the correct diagnosis. They’re is still about another $10,000 testing my mom will need to have done that will not be covered by insurance.

If anyone knows my daddy joe, they know he is one of the hardest working men he would never ask anyone for help, but he came to me saying he doesn’t know what he’s going to do the funds are running out and my mom is getting sicker. He’s dedicated to taking care of my mom but, he needs help.Due to the nature of this disease and how progressive my mom has been we don’t know how rapid things can happen from here. With that being said she may need a wheel chair, necessary medical equipment or renovations to our home to make it easier for her.
