With intense grief, the family of Sophia Yona Luangisa and husband Mao Luangisa of Pelham, New York, is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Sophie’s mother, Mama Ulumbi Shedrack, in Tanzania on the morning of Friday January 12th, 2018.
Mama Ulumbi Shedrack (78 years) was born on June 16th, 1939 in Kiomboi Singida. She was a loving, kind, humble and God fearing woman who was so loved by her family and community.
Sophia will be leaving for Tanzania on Saturday January 13th, 2018 for the funeral.
The New York Tanzanian Women Empowerment Group Association (TWIGA) and the New York Tanzanian Community (NYTC) jointly ask fellow Tanzanians and friends to kindly support this fundraising effort towards the funeral and logistics expenses for our dear beloved Mama Ulumbi Shedrack.
