Mama T’s needs an oven!

My name is Shelly Braden, and I’m an employee of Mama T’s in Bement. I used to work weekends, and now help Tara a few days a week at lunch. To know Tara is to absolutely adore her. There isn’t a fundraiser, benefit, team meal or donation that she hasn’t donated to, or heavily discounted. She gives everything she has to give. She gives the high school kids a place to come for an affordable lunch, and lets them run a tab, when they don’t have lunch money. Aside from that, she employs several of them!

That being said, Mama T’s is in desperate need of a new pizza oven. The bottom oven hasn’t worked for over a year, as the parts from it, are keeping the top two working…when they do. A new oven would run in the range of $50k, and that’s a tall order for any small business. We’d hope to find a newer used one, in good condition, and that would be wonderful too! We certainly don’t expect the community to purchase it for us, but if Tara has ever fed your family, or your kids, business meeting, work party, or otherwise, it would mean the world to her, and all of us at Mama T’s, if you could donate to the cause.
