The-Intruding-Heartlessness-of-Aging

Donation protected
You know you’re getting old, when all your bodily ailments inspire song cues from the 1960’s and before. “Help!”, “High Hopes”, “If My Friends Could See Me Now.” If you turned away before, PLEASE DON’T TURN AWAY NOW. If you’ve helped earlier, God bless you both, for all your plights are unknown to me: AS WE ALL SUFFER.

I work as a massage therapist, as private contractor. During Covid my my client list was diminished by 80%. During which, trying to make ends meet, I exhausted most of my savings, then, the accident occurred. I can still hear the tearing, ripping sound of my quadriceps ( thigh muscles), as they shredded from their attachments around and below both of my knees, each successive steps down those stairs, that day. I howled, as only a devotee of Allen Ginsberg could; just another 60’s reference.

Afterwards, I could no longer walk, or stand. After the surgery, while in full leg braces, I wasn’t allowed to bend my knees for two months; I couldn’t exercise, all my muscles atrophied. My age has made full recovery a longer and far more difficult process than it would have been thirty-years ago; it’s slowness has had deep financial consequences, it left me without funds to sustain myself. It is somewhat and inescapably demeaning, when the confluence of age and circumstance impinge upon your fragile humanity, casting you aside like, “Dust In The Wind.”

The first iteration of this same campaign to save me from an imminent, a month of June MEDICAL-EVICTION, I thank all who helped, but every month, if I can’t raise the funds through your contributions will be the same. I just need a few more months to get my financial balance back. This is no hoax, no fraudulent appeal of a freeloading lazy man. This is an injured human being calling out for the help of friends and strangers alike. I cannot recover and work homeless from the streets. I just need a few months, until I can gain strength, enough strength to fully support myself. All contributions go toward simple things, like rent and food. Won’t you please HELP.

THANK YOU,
