We are continuing the charity (sadaqah jariyah) that our beloved mother, Hooyo Sahra Shire, used to carry out. May Allah reward her abundantly and fill her grave with light and mercy. Ameen ya Rabb ❤️
The money raised, inshaAllah, will contribute to feeding orphan children and those who have no one during the upcoming Ramadan, and providing Qur’ans for the masjid our mother built before her passing.

OUR HOOYO SADAQA JOURNEY
In 2019, during her visit to Somalia, our mother experienced a moment that changed her heart forever. Being there made her truly understand that this dunya is temporary, and that nothing we own is really ours everything belongs to Allah. As she visited family after family, village after village, she saw pain that words cannot fully describe. Orphans with no one to protect them, children with empty hands but heavy hearts, people who had no support except Allah.
In that moment, our hooyo felt that she could not just walk away. She truly believed she had to do something for the sake of Allah. With pure intention and complete trust in Allah, she took that feeling and turned it into action. That is when she came up with the name ”Mama Sahra Foundation” a way to serve Allah by serving His most vulnerable creation.
Our hooyo believed, with full yaqeen, that sadaqah is not just giving, but a form of worship and reliance on Allah. Wallahi, the passion she had for sadaqah was something rare. She gave with sincerity, humility, and love, never expecting anything in return except the pleasure of Allah.
As a family, we stood beside her and supported her through this journey, and even we were amazed at how Allah opened doors and made the impossible possible. There is a YouTube videos we made together that captures part of this journey, feel free to follow and witness the beautiful work. InshaAllah, we will continue to share the sadaqah work our hooyo did, so her legacy lives on.
May Allah accept every act of charity she gave, make it heavy on her scale, and turn it into ongoing sadaqah jariyah. May Allah make her grave a garden from the gardens of Jannah and reunite us with her in the highest ranks of Paradise ameen
