Dear family and friends,

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the death of our mother Okuba Gebremeskel Zeray. My mother died on Monday January 9, 2023 to chronic health complications in Atlanta Georgia.  She faced this challenge with courage and bravery. She fought every step of the way and ascended in the presence of her family.

My mother was born in June 6, 1946 in Akurur, Eritrea. She immigrated to the United States in 1984 and raised her family. My mother was genuine, preset, sympathetic, easy to be around with and welcoming spirit. Most of all, she was beautiful soul, loved everyone and loved by everyone. She is survived by her five children and six grandchildren.
