Mama Needs Urgent Dental Help

Hi,

My name is Ree and I am trying to help a neighborhood icon— Mama the cat. Mama has lived on Eckford st for at least 10 years where she lived as an indoor / outdoor cat with an elderly neighbor. That neighbor is having some memory challenges and is around 98 years old now. Two weeks ago I saw mama outside the neighbors door crying to be let in with a bleeding face wound. I spoke with my neighbor who agreed to let me bring her to the vet. After an initial vet visit to help her face wound, infected ears, flea and tick treatment etc she came home with me as a temporary foster.

After further vet visits we know the following:

While I paid for the initial vet visit out of pocket and am caring for Mama, Greenpoint Cats is paying for the remaining vetting and got her shots and bloodwork. They have found a vet willing to give a discount for Mama’s extensive dental work needs (we’ll be heading to Long Island for this) and this fundraiser goes directly to their rescue. In the beautiful off chance we raise excess funds it will go directly to them helping other local cats in need.

Please if you could consider donating to her dental or if you are interested in fostering or adopting her reach out. While I care about Mama I have 5 pets of my own who are medically needy and a husband recovering from a hospital stay, she cannot stay with me long term. If you cannot donate much but are interested in fostering her or adopting her reach out as well!!
