Hi family and friends… Those who know my brave mom, Dena Bailey, she was involved in really horrifying car accident on I-15 freeway in Draper on April 5, 2023. She hit ice and was directly tboned on her side, they had to close 3 lanes to get her out of her vehicle using Jaws of Life (without saying, her car is completely destroyed.) She was transported to the hospital with a broken back (L1-L3), ankle, internal bleeding from ruptured spleen so they had to perform an emergency surgery to repair her spleen. They were thankfully able to keep it. She is currently in ICU being monitored for internal bleeding but she is feeling a lot better as of today. We truly are grateful and happy to announce that she is on the mend but will have a long road of recovery. Now that she feels much better, she realized they had to cut the whole new outfit she had just purchased so she’s really really bummed about that. Apart from her recovery are going to be the staggering medical bills and the need for a new vehicle. While many friends and family have expressed their need to help we thought it would be best to start a GoFund me to let people help in anyway they decide best. No matter how big or small, please know everything is humbly and gratefully appreciated.
