UPDATE
It’s with heavy hearts that we ask for help at this time. As many of you have heard, Mama Dee had a medical setback a week and a half ago. She was found unresponsive by her husband; Rick started CPR until EMTs arrived, where they then rushed her to Bellevue Medical. We got to the hospital as quickly as we could to say our goodbyes as we were told she wasn’t going to make it. With a miracle and prayers, Mama D came through later that evening. Bellevue Med transferred her to UNMC where she was diagnosed with COVID and a heart condition. She has a long journey ahead of her. With that being said, any monetary gift would be much appreciate as she has no insurance and could use any help.
Thank you for all the prayers and please keep them coming.
There's a long road to recovery which I am in but I am gradually making a great effort to normalcy. Latest doctor appointment on the 20th shows that my heart is slowly getting stronger and my energy is a bit higher. The physicians are amazed at how well I am doing after what I went through. My memory is still foggy and we don't know if it will ever come back due to the covid stroke but I have plenty of loved ones that tell me many stories to try and bring back some recognition of some of my past. It is taking more time than I have patience for to heal but I am on the right path. I still have multiple test to be done with the next one being a stress echocardiogram in May. We need to see if my heart is strong enough to proceed in possible surgeries. Thank you all for every prayer, well wishes and monetary gifts. All have been appreciated and very very helpful. My love to all.
