Update: Mama Chloe had the mastectomy and the biopsy confirmed cancer. It looks like they removed it all and there is no evidence of cancer in her lymph nodes.

She had to be admitted back into the hospital for severe pancreatitis. She is now home recuperating and on several medications. She will need to follow up with the internal medicine doctor to see how she’s doing. We’re also monitoring fluid she has in her chest and belly, which may be from the pancreatitis.

Hello everyone. You all know how much I love my kitties and would do anything for them. Well, now I need your help. Mama Chloe (mama to the 4 boys) has a mammory cyst and needs to have a mastectomy. There is concern that these type of cysts are associated with mammory carcinomas. That’s why they have to be removed right away. They will remove all 4 mammory glands on the one side that has the cyst. I’ve chosen to remove all rather than the one mammory gland with the cyst because the vet recommended this to avoid the cyst spreading to the other mammory glands on that one side. I don’t want to put her through two surgeries so I’m hoping this one will take care of it and Mama Chloe will be healthy and live a long life. I know it’s the holidays and it’s a bad time to ask for help, but anything you can do, Mama Chloe and I would appreciate it. I have the estimate for the surgery, which comes to about $2k and the 2 vet visits she’s already had, and any follow up visits. The surgery is scheduled for Monday, December 18th.
