Mama Bear's caught fire, Help us rebuild!

We need your help to rebuild!
Mama Bears has been a pillar of the Punta Banda Comunity for the better part of a decade. The best place in Ensenada to grab a pizza or burger, listen to local bands, and relax with friends and family. As many of you know, we just lost Christopher Frye, Papa bear, to a long battle with cancer a few weeks ago. We have faced many challenges over the last year while dealing with his treatment and the difficulties of being a restaurant during a pandemic, but we have stayed open to serve our local community.
We now face a new challenge that we need your help to overcome. Valentine's day morning, February 14, 2021, the kitchen in Mama Bears caught fire, burning a significant portion of the structure and equipment. We will be shut down until further notice while we rebuild the kitchen and bakery, replace the plancha and ovens, as well as much of the other equipment that was lost.
We will also need to rebuild several walls, replace part of the ceiling, and rewire the electrical in the kitchen in order to make her ready for business. With this last year being what it has, every spare penny has gone to treating Chris and staying afloat during Covid. We are in no place to be able to rebuild and reopen Punta Banda's favorite restaurant. We must call on those who have loved this place and wish to see it remain a member of the community. Without your help, Mama Bears runs the risk of having made her last pizza.
Help us protect this community staple, and Chris Frye's legacy by donating to get Mama Bear's back on her feet. We love you all and can't wait to welcome you back to the restaurant with a pizza and a slice of apple pie, ASAP.
Thank you Punta Banda!
