Mama Bear/Faith Taylor recovery

Donation protected
Mama bear went into Henry Mayo  hospital in Valencia Monday July 22 with severe stomach pain around 9pm. They did a cat scan and saw that she had a ruptured colon which is incredibly dangerous. She was developing an infection from the stool leak so they had to perform emergency surgery at 2am. Surgery took about 5 hours. Jonathan and I were there the whole time. Surgery went well and she began recovering and fighting off the remaining infection.  She was starting physical therapy and starting to get up and walk a bit With a walker  when all of a sudden on Saturday the 27th, she pointed to her head and fell down unconscious. She had an aneurysm on her brain that ruptured causing her to have a stroke. Sunday she was transferred to  neurology  ICU at KECK Hospital at USC in LA.  She has had five surgeries/procedures done on her brain since then  including a bypass for the blood vessels, coiling of the aneurysm, and injecting medicine into the blood vessel spasms.  Recovery is a long road ahead but she’s already talking and moving her body which is amazing. She is still very confused and doesn’t always make sense when she talks.

The doctors and social worker told my brother and I that she will not be able to live alone for a little while so now my brother and I are trying to pack up her house and all of her paintings and move everything into a storage unit.  We are not sure if she will be in a nursing home facility or a rehab center or what her living arrangements will be after this.  Money is very tight for us and just packing and moving her into storage and paying for the storage unit is going to cost quite a bit. I hate asking for money help but any any any amount will help so much right now. All of the money donated will be going to my mom, to supplies for packing, renting uhauls to move, renting a storage unit for who knows how long,  medical expenses not covered by insurance, bills she has to pay since she won’t be working, medications she’ll need and I’m sure more things I’m forgetting.  Please share and donate if you can.  Thank you all so much for the love and support
