Mama died 10 years ago of
Glioblastoma multiforme, a fast-growing, aggressive cancer and deadly brain tumour. Tata had dementia, a horrible disease and eventually passed 3 years ago.
I turned 60 this year. Too old to play for Arsenal, Charlton or Palace and to be honest, I wouldn't play for Spurs.
So I've decided to run a marathon. In Polska. The Kraków marathon to be precise, on 6th April.
Was just going to run, but why not raise money for charity. Yes I know it's short notice, but what the hell, it's for 2 good causes. Dementia and cancer research. Not aiming for much.
Spare what you can. Give what you can. However or whatever you want. Up to you. I'm going to share any donations equally between The Brain Tumour Charity (the UK's largest dedicated brain tumour charity) www.headway.org.uk and Alzheimer’s Research UK the leading research charity into dementia www.alzheimersresearchuk.org
Much love to you all!
