Please Help Us Give Malu a Second Chance at Life.

Malu is a street dog from Jimbaran in Bali. She is only five years of age and still young, with so much life left to live. Malu has spent her years living on the streets - quiet, cautious, and unassuming.

For most of her short life, Malu has survived thanks to local street feeders, a group of volunteers who dedicate their time, resources, and compassion to feed and care for stray and starving animals. Although Malu is fearful of humans, she has gradually developed a bond with the local feeders, showing her gratitude for their love and care in her own quiet way.

A few weeks ago, Malu’s health began to noticeably deteriorate. She was struggling to breathe, struggled to walk, had stopped eating, and worst of all she had developed a growing lump on her neck. Her feeders stepped in to get her the help she needed, tranquilising her before transporting her to the local vet.

The diagnosis: Lymphoma.

The local vet acted swiftly. The buildup of fluid in her lungs was drained making it easier for her to breath, and medication was immediately prescribed to alleviate the symptoms.

But Malu isn’t out of danger yet. She now needs Chemotherapy to survive.

So far, Malu has responded well to treatment and one round of Chemotherapy, however without more Chemotherapy, the cancer will return — and Malu won’t survive. Chemotherapy is her only chance.

Malu doesn’t have an owner. She has survived to date thanks to the love and care of local street feeders. But that is no longer enough and now she urgently needs your help!
