As many of you know, my beautiful boy Malcolm Reynolds was diagnosed with terminal bladder cancer in September 2025, after months of recurrent, unexplained UTIs. At the time, we were given approximately six months with him. Heartbreakingly, that time is now fast approaching.

Malcolm has been my constant companion, my comfort, and my heart for over 8 years. He has seen me through some of the hardest chapters of my life, and loving him has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Over the past six to seven months, Malcolm’s care has involved frequent veterinary visits, diagnostics, medications, imaging, and procedures. These costs have been significant and have placed a substantial dent in my savings. As his condition has progressed, the stress, anxiety, and anticipatory grief of preparing to say goodbye have also exacerbated several chronic illnesses, leaving me physically and emotionally unwell and, for much of January, unable to work.

This fundraiser is to help cover Malcolm’s end-of-life care and to ease the financial burden during a period where my ability to work has been limited. My focus right now is on ensuring that Malcolm’s final days are peaceful, comfortable, and filled with love, and on giving myself the space to grieve and recover once he is gone.
