Help Malorie Receive Life-Changing Brain Surgery

Hi my names Tanya, I am raising funds on behalf of my Cousin to help my Niece receive the life changing surgery she requires. We appreciate you taking the time to read their story below. Any small donation is so gratefully received.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We find ourselves in the heart breaking position of reaching out for help on behalf of our beloved 5-year-old daughter Malorie. A little girl filled with joy and laughter, Malorie has been battling a rare and devastating medical condition involving a 16mm pineal gland cyst, that is continuing to grow, and when first found was only 6mm in size, and has now multiplied.

This condition is so rare that hospitals in the UK are limited in their ability to perform the necessary surgery required to give her a chance at a normal life. Only six skilled neurosurgeons in the world are equipped to carry out the high-risk procedure that could potentially save Malorie from a horrific decline in her health.

For years, we have watched our brave girl endure unimaginable suffering. Since she was just 5 months old, we knew something was wrong. The endless vomiting, the hospital stays and the fear of losing her have been some of the most harrowing moments of our lives.

Malorie has fought through countless episodes of illness, often requiring drips to hydrate her when she couldn’t keep anything down, and each time our hearts ached as we watched her suffer and at times wondered if she would wake up. Despite all this, she remains our little bundle of joy, singing her heart out with a smile that lights up any room. Her strength and resilience astound everyone around her, as she enjoys her good days filled with making memories with her friends.

This past year has been especially trying. We have seen her health decline further as the cyst continues to grow, with more vomiting, dizziness, weakness, and now new, alarming symptoms have emerged, Malorie's sight is now deteriorating. Each hospital visit is an ordeal for her, and the emotional toll on our family is overwhelming.

Recently, we were devastated to learn that the surgery we had hoped for was put on hold, just as a new article about pineal gland cysts was released, causing all surgeries for these conditions to be suspended in the UK. Our trusted doctors are now unable to perform the procedure Malorie desperately needs, leaving us feeling lost and helpless.

But we refuse to give up on our little girl. We have been given hope that there are surgeons abroad who can perform this high-risk surgery, a surgery that can give Malorie the chance at a better life, one free from the constant pain and suffering she endures. The thought of her future, filled with laughter and happiness and not forgetting the singing, keeps us fighting.

Today, we ask for your help.

We need to raise funds to cover the medical costs related to Malorie’s life-saving surgery abroad. Your support can help us provide her with the chance at a normal childhood, one where she can play freely with her friends, go to school without fear of illness, and live without the threat of severe complications.

We have found a specialist surgeon who can remove the cyst and give Malorie the chance to live a normal life, but we need to raise funds to cover the cost of the surgery, travel, and post-operative care overseas.
