Mallory and Jordan Nacnac and baby Jonas Creed

My name is Alisa and I am a sister of Mallory’s. Some may know and many may not, but Mallory and her husband, Jordan, welcomed their sweet sweet baby, Jonas Creed, into this crazy world on May 11th. His first day seemed pretty normal but shortly after Mallory and Jordan noticed something wasn’t right. Their intuition from God through the Holy Spirit led to finding a doctor who would listen to them, extra testing, a confirmed serious infection, and a prompt transfer leaving them several hours from home. They are currently up with the baby in the NICU as often as possible but are looking at at least 21 days there if not longer. Their faith has strengthened during this time and I see them giving Him thanks over and over for the small and big things that have already happened. Jordan says, “he is a Nacnac, which means he is a fighter and we are so proud of the fight he’s waging against this!”
UPDATE: 5/18/22
———Mallory had to be admitted to the hospital that the baby was born in several hours away last night due to post partum complications. She is doing better and hoping to be released soon but just another heartbreaking bump in the road for these new parents. God continues to be GOOD in this storm and is taking care of both of them. Please pray they are reunited quickly and mallory is whole and well soon!
———Baby Jonas is now breathing on his own THANK YOU JESUS. They are working on some procedures today hopefully that will determine the status of the infection and allow Jordan and Mallory to hold him. He is set to get some breast milk today as well
They never asked for it, but I think this is a perfect time to shower them with anything your heart is led to give as they navigate food, hotel, bills, missed work, and eventually medical bills for this all. Of course, we covet your prayers as well! I will list below specific ways you can be praying ❤️ Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this and consider helping this new momma and daddy out!
PLEASE PRAY:
the swelling in his head decreases and pain subsides
platelet levels stabilize so they are able
to put in a picu line and they can HOLD HIM
for the picu line to be successful the first time
for an MRI to be able to be completed
for the antibiotic to continue to be effective and completely wipe out the infection
for Mallory and Jordan’s sweet hearts, that they find peace in these moments and that their life is forever changed by God’s goodness during this trauma
that breast milk will be able to be fed and soon
