Mallie and Marlie’s Veterinarian bills.

Hi, my name is Rachel and I am raising money to help with my 3 grandpuppies veterinary bills. On December 22nd their home was destroyed by an electrical fire that started in the kitchen. Their parents were not home at the time so Caleigh, a 15 year old Yorkipoo, Mallie, an 8 year old Chocolate lab and Marlie, a 4 year old Yellow lab were exposed to the smoke for around 30 minutes before being rescued. My son-in-law found the two labs unconscious behind the front door and was able to pull them from the house. They were both immediately rushed to the closest vet for treatment by a few of their amazing neighbors. Moments later, Caleigh was removed from the house by the firefighters and given oxygen. The girls were later transferred to an emergency vet where they spent several days in oxygen incubators due to the length of time they were trapped in the house and exposed to the smoke. Unfortunately, the smoke inhalation was too much to bare for Caleigh and her heart and kidneys started to fail. We lost her a few days after the fire. The lab pups were reunited with their parents and sibblings after the fire but they have still not fully recovered to this day. Both fur babies have returned to the vet weekly since the fire for additional IV treatments and oxygen . A few weeks after the fire, Marlie was re-admitted to the emergency vet clinic for 48 hours to spend more time in the oxygen incubator. Recently, the girls were referred to a specialist in veterinary internal medicine and both are still receiving treatment caused by the smoke inhalation. My family has home insurance to cover their physical losses but it does not help with vet expenses. If you are able, we ask if you could donate or even just share.
