Malinka – A Life Full of Courage, Love, and Hope

Malinka is not just a cat.

She’s my soul partner, my heart, and every day, my greatest teacher.

She was born into my hands.

I wiped the fluid from her tiny nose and face, cut her umbilical cord – and in that quiet moment, I made her a promise: I will never leave you.

At first, she seemed like a clumsy, playful kitten – just like any other.

But within weeks, the signs began: tremors, weakness, balance issues, seizures.

What followed was a long and ongoing medical journey filled with uncertainty, with suspected neurodegenerative disease, genetic metabolic dysfunction, muscle and neurological deficits.

Today, Malinka is three years old.

She is fully dependent on care, bedridden, suffers from seizures, muscle loss, shoulder instability, and needs intensive support 24/7.

She cannot eat on her own, she cannot walk, and she battles her fragile body every single day – but her will to live is unshakable.

I do everything I can to give her a life full of love, dignity, and warmth.

Every day, I manage her special nutrition, supplements, seizure medication, muscle therapy, and ensure she feels safe and deeply loved.

Malinka is a miracle.

She has come back from moments where we didn’t know if she’d survive the night.

And yet, she radiates gentleness, trust, and strength – touching the hearts of everyone who meets her, even just in photos.
