This is the story of a child that changed so many lives and in only 32 hours touched so many hearts.
My name is Matthew Pyle. My wife Kristi and I have been married for 11 years. We have 2 living children, a son on the way, and our sweet angel baby Malina Nicole Pyle.
Malina was born Sept. 1st 2016, her story is very complex and it was immensley difficult for us and our family as we didnt know of her complicated condition until just a few days before her birth, and following death.
Malina died of complications from a very rare genetic disorder trisomy 18, and beyond that she was more rare still, as a mosaic. This means in her case she was 60/40 meaning 60% of her cells were effected by the trisomy 18 genetic disorder.
We are seeking to raise funds to pay for a headstone for our daughter. Most of us will have the option of purchasing life insurance that is designed to take care of these end of life expenses. Malina did not have that oppurtunity as she died 32 hours after her birth and was born with a terminal illness making insurance impossible.
We have taken great care to design a stone that honors not only our daughters life and legacy, but a marker to honor the life that she will not be able to live in person. Malina will have no birthdays to recieve gifts, no graduations to celebrate, there will not be a wedding where we all shower her with affection, and the children that she helps will not be her own but will be with her in the glory of Heaven.
All proceeds above the cost of our daughters headstone will be donated to Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
We can never repay the staff at Childrens for the kindness they gave to all of us during this impossible time. It is our hope that we can help the families that come upon this difficult situation in the future.
We hope that you feel free to contact us for any details.
