Dear Malibu Resident,
There are two indisputable facts you need to consider.
1. The world population is going through a frightening attack by the Covid-19 virus.
2. The Malibu Urgent Care Center (MUCC) will have to close within a year if we don’t raise a significant amount of money now.
While Malibu residents can’t rectify the first problem, we can definitely rectify the second by donating money to Friends of Malibu Urgent Care (FMUCC). Consider it a donation to yourself and your family to keep the doors open of the only facility in Malibu that has ER doctors and is a walk-in service that’s open 365 days a year. Friends is a tax-exempt organization and 100% of the funds go to the support of the urgent care.
We should consider ourselves blessed to have emergency room physicians in our community to care for our illnesses and accidents. But, the operation of an urgent care center (and emergency room facilities) are much more expensive to operate than a doctor’s office.
Our organization has been subsidizing the MUCC monthly since 2002 when it was preparing to close. Thanks to Malibu residents like you, we’ve kept the doors open until now. However, due to the Woolsey Fire causing a population decrease in Malibu, as well as the increasing cost to operate, we’re quickly running out of our reserves. That is why we need your help! Now!!
