Malibu Fire Victims (Major Family)
Donation protected
Please help my family. We are third generation Malibuites who lost our home, business and livelihood in the recent fire. My Dad and I fought the fire at our house on Dume Dr. until we almost didn’t make it out of the driveway. We are thankful to be alive.
My dad Paul Major has been an active community member for over 30 years. He started the Point Dume community service center, where the Point Dume School is now. I remember helping set up the haunted house and telling ghost stories on the hay bail tractor ride in the park.
We realize that our memories and sentimental items cannot be replaced nor bought with money, but when you loose every thing even the smallest donation is appreciated.
The house and most personal possessions will be covered by insurance.
However and unfortunately the business and all its lost equipment and tools will not be covered by insurance. Meaning the money raised here will go toward the recovery and rebuilding of the landscaping business that many people in the Malibu area have come to know and trust.
If there was ever a time to give back to a family that has been there for the community, now is that time.

There is also a list of items (link below) that can be donated. If you chose donate an item instead of cash please contact me as this list is always being updated.
