Starting off 2025, I didn’t think I’d be on this platform personally seeking support for such a devastating tragedy. As many have seen, Malibu & surrounding areas have suffered tremendously. These winds have taken control of our city & brought widespread destruction throughout. In a matter of hours, the wind fueled flames ripped across the canyon & made its way right to my doorstep. Unfortunately, my apartment did not make it. Everything was burned. I avoided the evacuation orders & stayed behind trying to spray down the building & stop flare ups in the yard. It got way out of hand, the winds picked up, the flames grew & I knew it was out of my hands with nothing else I could do. Sitting across the street in the car watching your home burn down in the middle of the night truly is unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced. It’s heartbreaking to think about all my belongings I’ve lost. Thankfully, I’m healthy & I was not injured but at this point, I’ve got nothing more then a few articles of clothing & my birth certificate. I need to start fresh, from scratch & that’s easier said than done.

At this time it pains me to ask for help but the pain of losing my entire home in a split second is much much more painful.
