Malia Master's Bereavement Donation Fund

It’s with tears in my eyes as I write this request for support. On Friday, Feb 12th, my cousin Jason Masters was called home to heaven after a very sudden and tragic accident. He was home by himself when he had a seizure and fell, hitting his head and losing too much blood to sustain life. Those words don’t seem real coming out of my mouth and are almost too unbearable to write. Our hearts are broken.

Losing him has left an empty space in the hearts of his family and friends, especially for his daughter Malia, my precious young cousin. She will have a difficult road ahead while trying to navigate the idea of life without her father to confide in. Jason was a single dad and worked hard to make sure Malia was taken care of and surrounded by family and friends who loved and supported them. He was such a proud daddy and loved nothing and no one more than his baby girl. I know there is nothing anyone could do or say to take away the pain of losing her father so tragically, but it’s my hope that one thing she won’t have to worry about is money, at least for a little while. She is working and supporting herself financially but we all know grief comes in waves so in the coming days/weeks when she is having a really hard day, I don’t want her to have to stress about having to miss a day or two of work. I believe this would be a way for all of us to honor Jason and help him continue to support his little sweet pea while he can’t be here to do so.
