This fundraiser has been set up for our dear friend Malea Anderson, who recently learned she has Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Even under the best of circumstances, no one is ever fully prepared for the mounting bills, experimental treatments not covered by insurance, incidentals and lost wages.
Malea is a young, vibrant, loving wife, devoted mother to two young girls, activist, health fanatic and inspiring fitness instructor. Her mission in life for the past few years has been the campaign, “Choose Love,” where she fundraises for acts of senseless violence. That undertaking sums up this extraordinary woman, and dear friend to many.
She’s been told her upcoming treatments are so new, she will be like an early astronaut; there’s not much data on what she’s about to endure. Her treatments will be an aggressive combination of chemo, radiation and surgery, lasting at least 1 year. This is scary, heartbreaking, and quite costly, but there is hope! So much hope!
We, her friends, are asking for anything you have to give to help support this incredible woman who does so much for the community. There’s no gift too big or too small. It’s incredibly difficult to ask for anything, which is why friends have banded together for this family to lift them up in prayer and care so they need only to focus on healing, time together, and love, not dollars and cents. Love truly is the answer, and we thank you in advance for being bold and showing your love to help save this precious life.
