My name is Jackie Carroll, and I’m a close family friend of Chelsea, Joey, and the Maldonado family.
Their home suffered devastating damage during Hurricane Lala and is currently unsafe to live in. Chelsea, Joey, Makoa, Dusty, and Pops have all been displaced and are staying with friends and family while they begin the difficult process of rebuilding and making their home safe again.
The most extensive damage occurred in the bedroom and kitchen, where portions of the roof caved in and windows shattered, leaving glass and debris throughout the home. Water damage has also spread across the house, destroying clothing, appliances, baby toys, valuables, and many other personal belongings.
The Maldonados are the kind of people who would never ask others for help, even while facing something this overwhelming. That is why I am creating this fundraiser on their behalf—to give their friends, family, and community an opportunity to support them during this incredibly difficult time.
Funds raised will help cover temporary living expenses, replacement essentials, water-damage cleanup, and the repairs needed to make their home safe and livable again. Every donation, no matter the amount, will bring the Maldonado family one step closer to rebuilding their home and restoring a sense of comfort, safety, and stability.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community. Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support.
