Maldonado Family Tragedy

Story

This is my amazing family from Memphis, Texas. My parents are two of the hardest working people I have ever known. They are the proud parents / grandparents of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. They instilled an amazing work ethic into all of us. Taught us that we should work hard for what we want and never give up! They built our house from the ground up and made a home where we would create so many memories for the past 35 years. On April 7th, 2016, early morning, our home was set on fire, while my parents, sister, niece and nephew were all sleeping. Luckily my sister was awakened by the smoke and she alarmed everyone to wake up and to get out. She saved their lives and I am so grateful! Unfortunately, our home burned to the ground. It is gone, nothing but a pile of ashes to show for all of their time and hard work. The only thing they have is the clothes on their backs. They were not able to salvage anything due to the quick exit that had to be made.
