On Saturday morning, our colleague Malcolm Heard passed away in his sleep at the young age of 27. The MiraCosta College family not only grieves at the passing of a generous individual but also for the loss his family suffers.
Malcolm was a dedicated, fun and loving father. He was a best friend to his wife, Donna and an exceptional role model to his young daugther. He was committed to student success and willing to help others. In 2016, Malcolm was voted by his colleagues as Outstanding Classified Staff member. We will miss his warm heart and generous spirit.
As Malcolm was the sole provider for his family, his friends and colleagues are raising monies for the care of his daughter during this difficult time.
