Malachi’s STEM Camp Experience

Malachi Pina, my amazing son, is a 3rd grader at Longfellow Elementary with great dreams of becoming an engineer. He has earned his big chance at taking one step closer to his dreams with his acceptance to the prestigious Envision Experience, National Youth Leadership Forum, a STEM camp that will allow him to gain real world experience exploring his dream career. Students travel from all over the country to attend these educational, life-shaping camp sites, and one of the sites happens to be at the University of Houston this summer. Malachi needs your help to secure the funding for such an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! He has worked hard making straight A's (he even advanced to the district GT expo!) to earn his admission, but he just needs your support to take another step closer to exploring his ambitions. You could help shape the next generation of young engineers by contributing to the fundraiser for Malachi’s STEM camp experience. 

Malachi was awarded a $500 dollar grant bringing the camp total down to $1,795. We would like to pay for the camp as soon as possible, at the latest May 30, 2019. The expense of the camp pays for all curriculum and instruction, program activities, site visits and events, overnight housing, program materials, at least two meals a day, a Certificate of Completion, and local transportation during the program. 

Program highlights include Engineering Pathway, CSI Pathway, Medicine Pathway, and STEM Challenges.
