Our dear Mala Pendse is gravely ill with Influenza A and in the ICU of the Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.  Due to the severity of the influenza, she has developed a life threatening infection in both her lungs. At the moment she is heavily sedated and on a ventilator in the hope that her lungs will have a chance to recover.  She is surrounded by a group of amazing women who are doing all they can to save her life.  Medical costs are starting to grow exponentially and I am asking you to help defray those costs with a donation.  I am working with Amita Bhatt, who is on her way to Jaipur, to get any funding we can raise into India.
