Makyra Kahr Futuristic Gymnastics Fund

My name is Hosea Smith, Jr. and on behalf of my Aunt Vernita Smith and the Smith family are fund raising to obtain funds to help the Futuristics Gymnastics team members in memory of my beautiful niece, Makyra Elizabeth Smith who gained her wings too early.

The Futuristics Gymnastics team is an inner city, AAU team and these young ladies are awesome. My niece Makyra was the star of the team (in my eyes) and the team members really looked up to her for her tenacity and love of the sport.

We want to raise these funds to help any of the families who may be challenged with paying their dues or purchasing leotards or other ancillary cost that come along all in memory of their teammate, Makyra.

The idea is to continue to encourage these young ladies to reach for the stars and to achieve their goals in life. Hoping to defray the costs that in some cases could discourage their participation.
