My name is Daniel and I am raising money to help a co-worker/friend and his family get through a challenging time. While I have only known Maksym for a short time, I know him as nothing but a kind, happy, humble, grateful, hard-working gentleman. He always has a positive attitude and a zest for life.
Maksym hails from Ukraine and made the big decision to move to Canada over 3 years ago. He worked during this time to save and bring his wife to Canada shortly thereafter. Through his efforts and hard work, he has followed his dream of becoming a Powerline Technician and has since registered as an Apprentice last year.
Maksym was involved in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on February 5, 2023. He was a passenger in a one-ton work truck and while the truck was travelling to a job site it had to cross a highway. When crossing the highway the truck was t-boned by a highway tractor-trailer unit that was travelling at highway speeds. The truck was contacted on the passenger side. Maksym was airlifted to the University of Alberta Hospital where he was admitted. Maksym sustained injuries that include many bumps and bruises a broken orbital bone and a broken ankle. He has received surgery to repair his face and his ankle is recovering nicely so far.
Maksym is currently unable to earn the same living that he was earning before and his wife is currently on maternity leave as they are expecting their new baby boy in the near future. While it is truly a miracle that he is still with us at all, we would like to try and raise some money to help relieve the financial stress that he and his wife have been burdened with.
If you can find it in you to help with this effort I'm sure they will be forever grateful.
