Ella has an amazing opportunity to attend Sea Turtle Camp in North Carolina at the The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. During her time at camp, she will learn about marine biology, sea turtle conservation, and how scientists protect ocean life. She will engage in daily activities where she will learn what it takes to care for, rehabilitate, and release a sea turtle back to the sea. She will also get to know the turtles by name, learn how they’re named and begin to recognize the many different personalities exhibited by each turtle.

Part of her time at Sea Turtle Camp is giving back to the community as well. She will be earning community service hours through counting sea turtle nests, completing beach sweeps and participating in a public outreach event where she will help cultivate a love and respect for the ocean. Her passion lies in marine biology and this opportunity allows her to gain confidence and knowledge toward her future career goals.

The cost of camp includes tuition, materials, meals and housing. Every donation—big or small—helps Ella get one step closer to this unforgettable learning experience.
