MAKING THE GF BEAM

Hi everyone, my name is Glenn Titus I’m 24 years old and I go by Glennflips on all social media platforms Instagram, TikTok and YouTube where I post flip videos. My goal behind my videos are happiness and achieving your goals and overcoming obstacles to be the best you can be while also sharing and expressing how my Father God has given me the strength and gift to do what I love to do. I’m fundraising money to make my own GF Beam to sell to those who are interested. I got started in gymnastics at the age of 15 and competed in Men’s gymnastics but was drawn to watching women’s gymnastics and I fell in love with the balance beam. I thought it was amazing seeing skills/flips done in line and you basically have to be perfect. The focus and dedication you have to have with being in rhythm with the beam always fascinated me but what did terrify me and I know a lot of others haha was that it was only 4 inches wide but that never stopped me from training on it. Watching the greats like Simone Biles and Nastia Liukin, Suni Lee and much more inspired me to be like them and want to learn to do those skills on beam. I was gifted my first beam back in 2016 that I still have now and I’ve trained on it basically everyday non stop. Even though it is a women’s apparatus it didn’t stop me from finding love in it and it truly being my passion. I use my beam, the park bench and a curb of a sidewalk to help with my skills because I don’t have a real beam but I want to create something of my own and have that legacy of starting something new. This GF Beam will be for everyone to enjoy and train their skills on and most importantly having fun while doing so. I’d like to fundraise enough money to make the first 300 GF Beams. I will be pricing the GF Beams at only 90$. 300 beams being sold out at 90$ is a total of 27,000 and adding cost of designing GF Athletic wear would be the total of 32,000 dollars. I know exactly how expensive equipment could be and that’s why I want to make everything I design at Glennflips affordable for everyone. One of the main reasons why I left gymnastics after 2 years was because how expensive it was and I don’t want to do that. This is my passion and I’d love to make it for enough people to get. The GF Beam will be 10-11inches in width with a soft surface with a slight bouncy punch to it. Each GF Beam will come with its own safety durable mats to ensure safety when landing and including GF Athletic wear that I will design. A GF athletic sweater, sweatpants, shirt and shorts and a water bottle will be included in the first 300 beams. The height of the GF Beam will be 3 1/2 feet tall so it’s not too tall but not too small giving yourself a challenge to still push yourself. The length of the GF Beam will be at least 16 feet in length and I’ll definitely be designing a travel one where you can take on your travels.
