Hello, family and friends! I have created this GoFundMe with the hope that, going into this holiday season, the people who have helped me to this point in my life, with much love and support, would consider helping me in my endeavor to study abroad in the spring of 2026. I plan to attend Lincoln University, just outside of Christchurch, New Zealand. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources at Colorado State University, and I will be studying courses related to Natural Resources and Recreational Management, immersing myself in a plethora of new cultures and ways of life while in New Zealand. I especially hope to focus on Maori culture, how they manage and live off of their land, in addition to the traditional indigenous knowledge they have passed down through generations. To make things even more interesting, this will be my first time out of the country. Crazy right?! I am so excited to get out of my comfort zone and experience something completely new. I also cannot wait to geek out over Lord of the Rings spots across the island and let the little child in me bounce about Hobbiton and Middle-Earth, visiting some of the most breathtaking mountainous views this world has to offer. If you know anything about me, you know that I LOVE the mountains and the outdoors, which is why this program and opportunity were the perfect fit. I know that in this economy, sometimes there isn’t much to go around, especially with the holidays approaching, but it is my hope that this GoFundMe will just become one big Christmas/birthday gift from everyone, no material gifts for me this year. If you are willing and able to gift anything, or even just send some love and good vibes, everything will be accepted with the deepest gratitude. Anything gifted will go towards funding my time in New Zealand and the adventures I will embark upon. Some of these items may include food, transportation, travel, trips or side quests, and other miscellaneous things throughout the semester.
