I’m short for my senior trip, and it’s been harder than I expected to come up with the money. I’ve tried applying for jobs, but most places won’t hire me since I don’t have any real experience yet. So instead, I’ve just been doing whatever work I can for people I know. I’ve helped move furniture, pulled weeds, mowed lawns, done some landscaping, and even taken care of animals when people are out of town. I’ve also done things like power washing and helping paint or build fences. I’m doing everything I can to earn it, but I’m still not quite there yet.

The money raised will go directly toward my senior trip up to Whistler Bike Park, covering things like transportation, lodging, and lift passes. I’m also working toward getting a bike that can handle the trails up there, since that’s a big part of being able to actually go and ride. Being able to go to Whistler with a friend for our senior trip would mean a lot to me, especially since I haven’t really been able to do much else for my senior year, because of my money situation.
