Making miracles happen for Matilda ❤️

Hi, my name is Lindy, I am Chris (and Katie’s) sister and Matilda’s Aunty. Matilda is an energetic, active, beautiful, cheeky typical sporty 8 year old girl. Matilda started being sick with what they all thought was just a viral infection back in March this year. Chris and Katie continued to seek answers with no avail, However Chris and Katie got the unexpected news that no parents ever want to receive. On Tuesday 14/11/23, Matilda went to the hospital after feeling crappy, shortness of breath, having some bloody tests and fainting. Upon more tests they discovered Matilda had two large masses (1 from her abdomen to her liver and one behind her heart in her lung) she was flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Westmead Wednesday night with a Cardiologist on board. For the past week Toots has had a lot of fluid removed from her lungs and a very stressful week for both Chris and Katie to find out what the future may hold for them all. Today (Monday 20/11) Matilda has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. They have been told the survival rate is 65%. Matilda will start chemotherapy tomorrow (Tuesday 21/11/23) she will loose her beautiful hair in around 4 weeks. Chris and Katie will need to be with Matilda in hospital for treatment which will be 3 months or maybe longer. Matilda will have her 9th birthday and Christmas in hospital instead of sharing it with her two older brother Riley and Kye like any younger sister should! I am asking you to please donate to my niece and my family to help ease some of the burden with the daily finances that never stop coming in, Chris has just started his own business and Katie is off work with an injury so neither can work at the moment. I know they would not ask for any help so I am trying to make life a little easier for them in this crappy situation. I know times are tough financially for a lot of people at the moment but if we all donated a few dollars each it can make a massive difference. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
