Making Memories with Aaron

Aaron was diagnosed with appendix cancer January of 2020 and has spent the last year and a half bravely battling cancer, very often with a smile in his heart and a joke on his lips, always one to raise up those around him with his lightheartedness and sense of humor. Dorinda and Vaughn have been by his side every step of the way, holding on to hope that their warrior would be cured.

After 36 rounds of chemo that had kept the cancer from advancing much, doctor's delivered the crushing news that Aaron's tumors had grown significantly and the new treatment option is to intensify chemo, which will most certainly steal Aaron's quality of life. Aaron has chosen to maintain the highest quality of life he can for the time he has with his family so that he can remain truly present for as long as possible.

Aaron's oncologist told him to do all the things that he can do right now while he still can--ride his bike with Vaughn, take that trip to Disneyland he promised... anything left on his bucket list that he can feasibly do. His next scan is in October and the family is praying that his symptoms stay manageable so they can have the time to make some incredible memories with Aaron.

Please join me in donating to this fundraiser so that we can send Aaron, Dorinda and Vaughn on a whirlwind of memory-making. They deserve to be wrapped in our community’s love during this time of incredible pain and reckoning, and my hope is we will create a balloon of financial support that will allow them to focus on creating joyous memories with Aaron while he feels up to traveling and experiencing the many beauties that this world has to offer. And please share this far and wide!

Dorinda and Aaron have spent their lives holding the hearts of others, and it’s time for us to hold theirs. Please join me in contributing to this campaign so that they can remove financial worries from the list of things they must face right now while they focus on loving each other deeply and savoring each moment together.

Dorinda, Aaron and Vaughn are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders, and have been for quite some time now, and would have crumbled under the strain if it weren't for others supporting them along the way. They would like to extend their deepest love and thanks for all the prayers, love, and support their community has provided.
