Hi. We are a group of friends from Rachaels work, and she has given us permission to share these words on behalf of Emilia and her family..... This is a post that no parent wants to write. However, it needs to be shared so we can bring some happiness into our daughters world, in her final moments. It's not been common knowledge, however Emilias cancer returned last August, and we were advised that there was nothing more they could do. As you can imagine this knocked us all for six. A few weeks later we were offered a chance to go on a another medical trial, which believe it or not, started to work. Until 3 weeks ago, we were told that her tumour was growing at a fast speed, and there was nothing more we can do, so all treatment was stopped, and we were told to "go home and make memories" whilst she's in home based palative care. Emilia has been really ill since then, and has been very weak. We told close families and friends, but found it so hard to keep calling people, to tell them the heartbreaking news. We don't know how long we have left with our beautiful girl, maybe mere weeks. However I wanted to let a lot of people know, and hopefully get some help with getting her some amazing experiences. We're away for 5 days next week, however once back if anyone could suggest any ideas, or recommend any activities/companies to contact, we'd be very grateful. She is wheel chair bound so it would have to be things where she can sit down and nothing too strenuous, and UK based. We are still trying to seek further medical help abroad, however we're not sure if that's going to be possible ( I will update on that when we can). Emilia doesn't know the full story, as we thought it best not to scare our little lady. So please bare this in mind, if you come to visit, or see us out and about, or write anything on social media.she has a FB page, but she can't see this post. Hanna doesn't know either, as how do you even have that conversation. Over the next few weeks I'll try and share some nice photos when I can, but for the most part I'll be stepping away from our phones.
