Making memories for Amy and her family

Hi my name is Andrea and I’m hoping to help raise some funds for Amy Gordon and her family. Amy has stage four cancer.

Amy has been battling cancer which has spread throughout her body and she has been told it is terminal.

I met Amy just over a year ago and have been amazed at her bravery throughout her treatment and daily living with this horrendous disease. Amy’s level of pain and being able to cope with family life is becoming very hard for them all. Lots of important decisions have been made as to what will happen after Amy is no longer here to be with her loving children Isaac, Jasmine, Holly and Bobbie. Also her devoted husband Mark.

But until that time her treatment will continue her body is slowly deteriorating but they want to be able to make some memories while she is able. How long has Amy got to do this is unsure but it’s getting ever closer day by day.

Amy would just say like to say that it's been 3 years since I got my initial diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer and 2 years since I was diagnosed as stage 4.

I'm on my 3rd line treatment option and while there are more options ahead and new things being developed all the time I've already been ruled out of the option of immunotherapy as my cancer is void of the relevant cells that make it effective. I've run out of hormonal approach options and I'm now on my first line of chemotherapy which of course makes the treatment harder as it comes with more side effects!

And that I feel absolutely blessed to have so many wonderful friends and to be part of such an incredible community as you all really came together to help us pick up the pieces after being let down previously

so with the present climate of paying bills and living on a breadline as we all are I’m hoping to raise some funds to at least help them make those memories.

Pre Christmas a group of us helped to make Christmas a little brighter with a lounge kitchen makeover. Which all the family loved. and it gave them a wonderful Christmas. The house still needs some work to accommodate all the children having there own rooms in the future.

But this is the most important part now to make memories, we cant stipulate how important it is for them to do this now, if was you in that position It’s unimaginable.

They would like to go to London to see family and have some days out. Maybe a holiday if that’s even possible.

Amy and Mark appreciate every donation that was made previously and don’t expect anyone that did to do so again. Mark is doing his upmost best to keep things going at home and do a bit of work to help sustain their finances but it’s getting increasing difficult as he has to look after Amy and Bobbie who is a lively 3 year old aswell as 3 older children.

So if anyone could or can make a donation it would be very gratefully received and used accordingly.
