My name is Eric Skrzypczak (aka Mr. S), and I’m in my second year of teaching 5th grade math and science at Davis Academy in New Haven. I absolutely love working with my students — they’re curious, funny, and full of potential.

One thing I’ve learned quickly is how important it is to give kids experiences that go beyond the textbook. Hands-on projects, extra classroom materials, and special learning opportunities really make a difference in how excited and confident students feel about school. But for many families in our community, the extra costs that come with these opportunities can be tough.

That’s why I started this fundraiser — to help cover those costs so every student in my class can take part, no matter their situation at home.
