Making lemonade out of a lemon!

Hello, my name is Damien. I'm setting this up because I'm all out of options.

I recently got a puppy that I named Rosie. She's an adorable Scottish Terrier x Shepard mix. I've had her since she was 2 months and in the 7 months that I've had her, she has grown to be one of the best dogs I've ever had the opportunity to be around. Loving, attentive and outgoing, with a vibrant personality to boot are just a few of the reasons I love this gentle puppy so much. She's my best friend.  She is one of a kind.

In October, she developed sores along her belly and when bringing her to the vet we discovered that she has sever allergies. A special diet along with a litany of medication to combat this was the solution. I was barely able to afford this round of vet's visits but since this was an ongoing thing, I would really need to tighten my finances to be able to afford this. But it's doable. I sacrificed any and all things "fun" to afford to pay for her treatments.

Flash forward to last week. She started to limp. It was random and only lasted a few moments before she was back to her normal self, bouncing off the walls. I didn't have the money to take her to the vet. I was tapped. I cut out everything that I could cut out of my life to pay for her allergy treatment. Now I have an amazing employer, TekSavvy Solutions Inc.
They helped me out with a loan of $400 to take Rosie to the vet. I'm infinitely grateful to them for this. It's one of the things that makes them the best employer you could ask for.

So I take her to the vet to try to get a diagnosis. It took all of 2 minutes for the vet to tell my 9 month old puppy will need surgery on the one knee, and more than likely need surgery on the other knee. She explained that the kneecap should sit in a groove in the tibia bone of Rosie's leg. X-rays show that there is no groove in her bone so one will need to be notched out via surgery. Because of this, the kneecap pops in and out of joint, causing her limp. Chuckling, the vet says to me “With the allergies last month and her kneecaps this month, looks like you bought a lemon”. A lemon? This is my puppy we are talking about! I know there was no ignorance intended in the comment but it still stung. But surgery it is and he explained this is a very costly endeavor. One that I just can't afford.

As of 11/19/2016, I'm not sure what the cost is. The vet just gave me a vague "It's fairly expensive" response and that I will get a quote for it in the following work week. The bill to take her in for x-ray’s was just over $300. I was hoping to get her fixed with the money lent from work. Looks like that's not going to happen and I'm in a very bad spot for funding.

A friend suggest this so I'm really hoping this will work as friends and family are unable to help. I understand, money is tight, it's Christmas time. But I need to get my baby fixed. This puppy is the absolute world to me. I would and have sacrificed everything for her. As it is, I'm looking for part time job to try to help pay for her but the hours at my regular job make that difficult to find a suitable match. I'm reaching out to you, the person reading this. I want you to know that there is a baby puppy out there that could very much use your help.

The vet said that left unchecked, she could tear ligaments and leave her legs damaged to the point of paralysis. I'm begging you. Please help. I would forever be indebted to you. I can't thank you enough for even reading this far, and just know that I appreciated you for that.
