Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m beginning something very meaningful to me — my bucket list.
I am living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to six areas of my body. Over the past few years, my life has been focused on survival — chemotherapy treatments, constant hospital visits, and relying on oxygen. On February 9th, I will take a six-minute walk test, and there is hope that I may finally be able to stop using oxygen after two years.
For a long time, I didn’t allow myself to dream about the future. Now, I’m ready to start living again.
I currently undergo chemotherapy 21 days every month, which has made it impossible for me to work. Despite these challenges, I returned to college and I’m proud to say that I will graduate in May. During my illness, my world became very limited because survival had to come first.
But now, I want to experience life.
My bucket list includes visiting places I have always dreamed about — Japan, Ireland, Jordan, Peru, the Grand Canyon, and many others. I also hope to rediscover parts of myself that illness paused, like learning to dance and learning to play the piano.
I am hoping to raise $30,000 to help make these dreams possible. The funds will support safe and health-conscious travel, accessibility needs, and experiences that allow me to enjoy life while still protecting my health.
This isn’t about luxury , it’s about living life after fighting so hard to survive.
If you are able to donate, I am deeply grateful. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this page would mean the world to me.
Every small act of kindness — whether it’s a donation, a shared post, or even the cost of a cup of coffee , helps transform survival into a life truly lived.
