Making it Possible to get Alan back on his feet
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I am Amanda Lucia Alan’s oldest daughter. On behalf of my sisters and I we are asking for your help with donations for Alan’s medical bills and expenses.
On Thursday February 3, 2022, Alan Higginbotham was taken to the ER in cypress due to a massive pain in his head. They advised that they were not equipped enough to handle is prognosis. At that time we were advised he had a brain aneurysm that ruptured due to a violent sneezing episode. Once the aneurysm ruptured, it caused him to have bleeding on his brain. He was transferred to the medical center where he is currently in ICU but in stable condition. Since being in ICU, he has undergone several tests, including angiograms, CT scans, and ultrasounds. After extensive testing, we later found out that he has a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Following this diagnosis, Alan received an ICP drain to release the pressure and blood on the brain. The neurosurgeon team has been monitoring him daily, and just within the last 24 hours, he has gotten the ICP drain removed. He is still being monitored and will undergo another CT scan for further evaluation. At this time he is progressing every day, but we are not sure when he will be released. Due to COVID restrictions and hospital policy, he cannot have any visitors.
The family would like to thank you for your continued prayers and concerns. At this time we ask that any and all communication go through his three daughters as he needs to focus on his recovery. If you have any questions or concerns please fill free to contact Amanda Lucia, Amy Frazier, or Alicia Higginbotham.
