Hello,
I just moved to Santa Monica to pursue a career in the film industry and met a really awesome girl that I've been dating for a few months now. Her birthday is coming up and I really wanted to surprise her with a pair of headphones that she's been wanting for a while (even before we started dating). I bought her a pair of them off Facebook Marketplace using Venmo from someone who shipped them to me. Unfortunately, when they arrived, I realized that I had been scammed and I paid $200 for a fake pair of headphones. I've already contacted my bank, Venmo, Facebook, and the local police department, who all have stated they're not able to refund the money to me. I'm already in an incredibly tight financial situation with my lack of work in the film industry and a mountain of debt that I'm trying to overcome, and even though it's a silly request, it would really be really meaningful to me if I could get this money back and use it to actually buy my girlfriend a genuine pair of headphones that she wants.
Thank you.
