Making Dreams for Wendy
Donation protected

Hello!
My name is Jessica and I am creating this GoFundMe to help my precious Aunt Wendy.
One month ago my Aunt called me that she was in excruciating pain after she had fallen on her balcony in her apartment and needed my help. Upon arriving to her apartment, I called 9-1-1 because I was terrified to move her in my own vehicle incase she had broken her hip or spine. The results of her xray determined no broken bones; however to get to the bottom of her pain an MRI was ordered. This MRI determined she had a tumor in her pelvis which was affecting the bone and caused her pelvis to fracture when she fell. Further CT imaging confirmed a tumor in her right lung, and 2 in her brain. She has stage 4 cancer.
My Aunt has never married, and unfortunately could never have children of her own. She has always been full of life and passion for art, nature and especially animals.
Her parents, my grandparenrs have both passed away and my aunt devoted the last 15 years of my Grandmother's life to her care as she suffered from Dementia and Alzheimer's. Wendy has done things for her mother most of us could never imagine, and hope to never have to.
My father (Wendy's brother) lives 14 hours away and underwent bypass surgery the same time Wendy fell and received her diagnosis.
The past month my Mother (Wendy's ex sister in law) and I (her niece) and been taking care of her and her needs and pets while she's been in the hospital receiving radiation treatment and recovering from her fractured pelvis.
Luckily, Wendy can come home soon. Unfortunately she is going to need lots of help and daily care as she continues to recover and continues treatments to hopefully slow her cancers progression and buy her as much healthy time as possible.
Why the GoFundMe?
Easy. Wendy deserves it. She has a beautiful dog who is the center of her world and will now need to hire someone to help walk him. She is on a fixed income and every penny counts in the state our economy is in. She deserves to have people show her she matters and she is cared about as she has also been in a state of depression since her Mother's passing.
Wendy had always been there to help anyone who ever asked her for help. She had quite literally given some of us the shirt off her back. I've been thankful I've been able to repay her as much as I have lately, with the incredible help of my mom.
I'd love to raise enough money so she doesn't have to worry about any medical costs, costs for someone to walk Meeka... And if enough is raised I'd love to be able to send her on one last trip to visit her life long friend in Australia... I know it's a far stretch but every little bit matters and counts.
We have her basics covered... But any extra help and generosity would be forever appreciated and we are truly grateful for any time we have left.
