Hello!
My name is Errin Douglas. I am 22 and graduating with my degree in Business Entrepreneurship with a double minor in Public Policy and Economics from Salem State University. After graduation, I will be leaving the nest for the first time and moving from Boston to Washington DC. I am very excited to have secured an internship in our nation's capital working for the Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls.
Previously, I have worked for Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley (who is now running for Congress) and for Massachusetts State Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz. I have also worked for the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Center for Public Leadership. Currently, I am a fellow at Emerge Massachusetts, a non-profit organization that trains Democratic women to run for office. During my time at Emerge, I created and facilitated their first-ever Campaign Manager Training Program.
My political career has been centered around the uplift of women and people of color because I believe that the most marginalized people should be at the forefront of all policy solutions. My aspirations are to become the first African American female mayor of Boston and to give the voiceless a stage to speak.
Since my internship in Washington DC is unpaid, I am raising money to help with my living expenses. Would you consider supporting my dreams and my financial needs so that I can support myself during the internship? The money will directly go towards rent, food, and making the most of this extraordinary opportunity to be in DC. To contribute, please click on the Donate button.
Thank you in advance!!!
