I went to Sunyani, Ghana for the first time in 2023 to visit the Don Bosco Boys Home where 64 boys, ages 5-18, live. The Boys Home takes in boys, gives them a place to live, feeds them, clothes them, and sends them to school. I went there to spend time with the boys and to teach them art. My experience was so rewarding that I returned in 2024 and 2025 and plan on going back in the fall of 2026.

I have fallen in love with these boys - their eyes are bright, their smiles are big, and their arms are welcoming. I simply cannot get enough of them.

I've started this GoFundMe to assist with the expense of shipping barrels of art material and general supplies to the Don Bosco Boys Home Ghana. Each barrel costs $150 and needs to be shipped around 3 months in advance - May, 2026. Any supplies that aren't shipped in time will go with me on the plane at $100 a bag. Any money not applied to the cost of shipping will be used to purchase school supplies for the boys.

This year a number of the boys and I will be visiting people from 4 different villages to teach tie dying t-shirts. The hope is that they will take what they learn and make their own shirts to sell for income. We need ALOT of dye! Message me for an Amazon Wish List link to support this cause.
